Free time in Vegetarium
W9 – free time in Vegetarium is full of possibilities.
We usually have time off daily during the hottest time of the day and then again in the evening. It is really up to you what you prefer to do with your free time. The place itself creates lots of possibilities in the nature, but also some restrictions due to the remote location.
Midday break and evening break
Usually during the midday break I like to take a nap and after that work on a personal project. Some of these personal projects have included learning the Bulgarian language, recycling old T-shirts and knitting oven mitts from them, knitting wool socks, and sewing and fixing other items. One day I fixed the horses’ saddle pad by sewing. During the evening break I like to exercise. Sometimes, when it cools down I go for a walk or a run in nature. Recently, I created a mini-gym in the shady part of the garden. The place is good for a little circuit training with body weight – or even with some weights from tree trunks and tiles. It is great to do these things together with others as a group activity too. Sometimes during the day or the evening break it is best to rest and not to do anything and that is alright too. Rest is important. Watching a movie can feel like a good change now and then.
Flow of time and balance
The days have been passing fast at some moments and slowly in others. I think it is important to have your own hobbies that you can practice during the time here to keep the time flow interesting. It is like creating your daily life at home – you have work, hobbies, and days off for special things. Here I try to create the same balanced rhythm.
Below is a picture of me on a run and of the home gym.
Until next week!
