One trip to Greece

Last Week, I took eight days off and went to Greece. There is a direct bus connection from Sofia to Thessaloniki. It took about 5 hours to get there, and we passed through beautiful landscape. Outside of the bus window there were the mountains Vitosha, Rila and Pirin with its snow-covered peaks passing by.

Arrived in Thessaloniki, I took a hostel for two nights and talked to one guy sitting in our room. We then sat outside in the street and listened to some typical Greek live music. Also, there were people dancing until late night. The next day, the same guy showed me one nice and calm beach which we arrived by taking the bus for 1.5 hours. The buses in the city were cheap (60 ct / ride) but sometimes very crowded.

It was perfect weather for swimming and the sea was warm enough. The next day I went again to this calm village by the sea and decided to stay there. I spent 4 days with sitting in the “tavernas” by the sea, swimming and relaxing. My mind adapted to this calm and peaceful environment. On my last night back in Thessaloniki, I met a group of friends from the city, which invited me for sitting with them.

During this vacation I could get in touch with the attitude to life and the hospitality of the Greek. It was a nice time which I will keep a sweet memory.
