Mélusine inspired me to do the hike from Vegetarium to Gara Bov, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t end up doing exactly the same route, as I followed a different path at the beginning, but I’m glad I did this one.
It was quite a chill hike, and I ended up with a beautiful view over Gara Bov. There was a stone with an open view of the landscape, which became the perfect spot to have my lunch. I even had a little nap there.
The way back was alongside the river down in the valley until Tserovo, and then back up. I really fell in love with the mix between the houses, the river and the mountains. Too bad there wasn’t really any spot where I could chill beside the river, because even though I had quite a long lunch break, I finished the hike early (9.50 km in total, with an elevation gain of 468 m).
> Lakatnik :
Last time, we went there for our team-building day, and I didn’t expect Lakatnik to be even more beautiful, especially when it comes to the rocks, cliffs and caves. And I really tried to see everything at once: the highest point with a wonderful view, the forest, the river, the cliffs and the most beautiful caves of the area. I even saw bats in one of them, they were sooo cute. I was afraid I would scare them, but I think I didn’t really bother them.
At some point, it reminded me of a hike/walk I did once with my parents, where on top of the cliffs there was a flat area with a huge, beautiful meadow. It made me want to do more.
Same as the previous one, I had a good break alongside the river, where I could sit with my feet in the water (really refreshing) and eat at the same time. I had a nap as well, a real one, where I forgot where I was, even though I was on a stone.
At the end of it, while waiting for my train back, I had a well-deserved tiramisu ice cream. It’s kind of becoming a ritual now aha.
This one was 15.60 km long with an elevation gain of 771 m.
