Watering

At the beginning of my journey here in Trinoga, we started with one of the most crucial parts, managing the water. Since I’m learning the permaculture lifestyle, one thing is clear to me, how you manage your resources is key to maintaining the environment. We can get water from underground with the help of a pump. The pump collects the water and sends it up the hill to the cistern. Every morning and evening we check how much water is left and we should adapt to the actual water level.
Watering the plants, trees, and veggies is also based on time management. Working with timers helps me to know when to open/close each pipe or irrigation system. In the summer, we usually do this in the morning or evening. We water the Tree nurseries (plants or trees that will be planted in the future, but now they are in pots), Shrubs, Cukkinies, Tomatoes, and cucumbers. We can also take a shower in the greenhouse with a pipe. Cold water has a great effect on the body system, so this is a good option to release some inner tension, anxiety…etc.
This is a good way to grow spiritually. If it’s raining, we can be thankful for that, because there is a direct reflection in our environment.
