Team day off in Sofia

Week 3 (September 14–20)

This week was full of emotions and memorable moments. We decided to organize a day trip to Sofia with all the volunteers, as two of them were leaving that same week. We picked September 17th.

In the morning, Inka drove us in Filip’s car to the Svoge train station. From there, we caught the train to Sofia. Once we arrived, we sat down at a cafe for breakfast and shared desserts. Afterward, we hung out in the park, played cards, and spent time talking. Later, we walked over to Borisova Gradina lake, sat in a circle, and shared what we had learned during our time at the Vegetarium.

That same day, Nora left the Vegetarium. She had stayed for only a week, but she was great company and made desserts for us every day. That evening, we also saw off Avelin, who went to Sofia Airport to catch her flight. We made our way back up to the Vegetarium late that night using headlamps.

The next day was the farewell party for Zoya, a girl from France. The party was in the meadow next to the house, where we built a campfire, roasted marshmallows, and ate melted cheese. The following morning, we said our goodbyes, and Inka drove Zoya to the station in Svoge.
