Growth and harvest

W4 – this week has been mostly about weeding, mulching, and harvesting. I have been taking care of the greenhouse, which means daily surveillance of tomatoes’, cucumbers’, and other plants’ well-being. It is also the time for harvest. Thanks to the work done previously, we can now enjoy freshly picked vegetables and berries from the garden. These harvests make up a large part of our diet here. I like the food a lot, it has lots of colors, a fresh taste, and is full of nutrients.

To enable the plants to grow, we have been doing lots of weeding and mulching. It has been rewarding to see the result of our work so quickly. It is also great that we have had more volunteers coming – sharing the work makes time go faster.

In the following weeks, I am expecting more harvests, different fruits to collect, and lots of warm days.
