Animal Farm

Last Saturday evening we met with our lovely neighbors in their garden. They are one mother, one father and two little children. We met around six and brought something to eat and drink for sharing. Also, our neighbors prepared some food and drinks.

After we arrived, the father started some music and soon, we should build a circle around the mother. As she is doing some online-course to become a Waldorf-teacher, she wanted to train a bit with us. She wanted to try out something she learned in that course.

First, she showed us some warm-up activities which we followed. After, she said, we should just copy exactly what she does. So, we walked around and tried to copy what our teacher did. We moved as a duck, as a crab, jumped like a rabbit, or rolled down the hill and other things. All in all, this session took about one hour.

To forget how “normal” adults should behave and just let go all thoughts that holds me back was very liberating to me.

After, we sat together, had some food and watched the day to become a night. Then we light the bonfire and stayed there until it was too cold.

I’m thankful for this evening.
