A Whole Month in a Single Story

A little compilation-

Life at the Vegetarium is never dramatic in a loud way, but it is always full.

Some days start with stretching in the morning while the sun slowly rises over the snow. The birds are already singing like it’s spring, even though everything outside is still white and quiet. On days like that, it almost feels utopian. Not perfect, not fake perfect, but softly, peacefully beautiful.

Then the day begins.

There are plants to water in the hallway. Spices to check in the kitchen. Rice to refill from the storage room. A morning meeting where everyone shares what they’ll do. Small tasks, simple things. But together, they build something real.

Other days are more adventurous. Catching the first train at 5 a.m. to meet a best friend. Sitting in an old train where the electricity cuts off and you can feel the springs in the seats. Getting on the wrong train by mistake. Laughing about it later.

There are evenings filled with music, jam sessions, karaoke, neighbors bringing homemade bread. Singing together even if no one sings perfectly. Sitting in a warm room with a stove burning while someone plays guitar. And sometimes, for fun, listening to the worst singers from Bulgaria and France just to laugh.

There are days of building insulation on a new house, working with music in the background, hands a little dusty but heart light. And days when you feel sick, with a runny nose and a sore throat, and you learn that resting is also part of the work.

There are wolves howling in the distance while you’re riding horses back home. Musicians and drunk grandpas on trains. Friends coming from far away just to visit for two days. Volunteers leaving, and goodbyes that stay in your chest a little longer than expected.

It’s not one big story.
It’s many small ones.

And maybe that’s the most beautiful part.

Here, even an ordinary day is never empty. It is filled with people, nature, effort, laughter, tiredness, warmth, and connection.

And in the end, this place, and the nature around it, really do feel like the greatest medicine.
