A Day Of Painting And An Evening Ride

Today we had the task to refresh one of the rooms in Vegetarium. We prepared it for painting by covering all the furniture and the floor with cardboard and recycled plastic sheets. After that we started painting and spent almost the whole day doing just that. It was a long task, but everything felt very meditative and pleasant. We listened to music and talked about funny things.

When we finished and it was already afternoon, my head started to hurt and I realized that I hadn’t eaten anything all day and had barely drunk any water. So I drank some water, quickly ate a bowl of lentils, and changed into cleaner and fresher clothes. Since I had promised some friends that I would visit them in the other neighborhood, I saddled the horses and left.

The sun was just setting, but it was still sunny and pleasant, with a light breeze. It felt fresh, although my head was still hurting. The road was not very long, it took me a little more than an hour to get there. On the way I passed through the center of Zhelen, where a group of rockers had gathered and were shouting something at me, luckily I didn’t really hear what they said.

When I finally arrived, I was very happy that I had made it before it got dark. I met my friends and let the horses roam freely because the place was fenced. We had a very nice evening with lots of laughter and funny stories.

The next day I had to wake up at 5 in the morning to return to Vegetarium and cook, it was my turn. So I went to bed early. When I woke up it was still dark and everyone was asleep. I went outside to saddle one of the horses, they were still sleeping. I had to wake them up so we could leave. They were not very happy about it, but they didn’t have much choice.

We started riding back in the dark. It was quite cold, but we rode calmly. When we arrived it was already around seven. I left them in their field and quickly went to cook.

I don’t regret the fun adventure, but I definitely took a nap at noon.
