Riding in the Mountains: The Special Relationship Between Human and Horse
In our project, I have the wonderful opportunity to ride outside of working hours. We have two impressive horses – one female and one male – both majestic, white animals with strong characters. In my childhood, I spent a lot of time in the saddle, but riding in the mountains offers a completely new experience that I thoroughly enjoy.
Riding in nature has its own charm. The challenges of uneven terrain and the breathtaking landscape make each ride an adventure. But it’s not just the environment that is special; the relationship with the horses also plays a crucial role. It’s important for them to understand who is in control. With so many different people interacting with the animals, they need to figure out who takes the lead. This dynamic is essential not only for safety but also for the trust between human and horse.
Working with large, muscular horses is a real challenge. It requires not only physical strength but also mental resilience. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I am not just taking on the role of the “rider,” but also must be a leader. These experiences boost my self-confidence and help me recognize my own strength.
Every interaction is a lesson in teamwork and understanding. Reading the horses’ body language and recognizing their needs is essential. This connection, built on trust and respect, is the heart of any successful relationship.
In summary, riding is not just a hobby; it is also a valuable source of personal growth. The experiences I have with these wonderful animals are transformative and enrich my life in many ways. I look forward to many more adventures in the mountains!
