A Feeling

I love being here, even though there are difficulties. Because the more time I spend here, the more freedom, safety, and strength I gather within myself. Life here is harsh and unforgiving, but what it gives in return is precious. What it gives in return is the feeling of freedom. And what can freedom be, if not a feeling?

I am better here than I have ever been. And when the moment comes when I will have to leave, the months I have spent here will always remain engraved in my heart — along with the people I met.
