Vacation – Nature-Connected and Inspiring: My Summer Adventure in Bulgaria

Within our program I´m alowed to take vacations. I used my first vacation to get to know Bulgaria a bit better – a journey that offered me profound insights into nature and culture.

It began with an adventurous hiking trip in the impressive Rila Mountains. The majestic peaks and fresh air provided not only a welcome break but also new perspectives and inspiration for creative projects. The untouched nature and stunning landscape of the mountains were not only a visual feast but also a source of inspiration for my involvement in a nature-connected, spiritual project.

After a hike in beautiful weather, I stayed in a charming little cabin high in the mountains.

In the following days, I hiked even in heavy rain, accompanied by a 4-month-old puppy belonging to the cabin’s residents. And that was just one of the unforgettable experiences of my wonderful trip.

The highlight of my hikes was the Musala-peak. I climbed the highest mountain in Bulgaria and enjoyed a breathtaking view from 2,925 meters high.

After the hikes, I delved into Bulgaria’s rich history and culture by visiting various fascinating museums and historic towns. These cultural experiences not only expanded my knowledge but also my ability to understand complex stories.

To conclude my adventure, I spent a relaxing weekend by a picturesque lake in the Rhodope Mountains, where I enjoyed camping and recharged my energy. This experience once again showed me how important it is to maintain a deep connection to nature.
