My first week

I took the Bus from my hometown Dresden to Sofia. The journey was pleasant, and the seats were spacious. I can recommend to take the bus to Bulgaria, it is a way of slow travel and its more eco-friendly. We had stops in the cities Praha, Brunn, Vienna, Budapest and Belgrad. Filip picked me up at the station and brought me to Vegetarium. My first impression was the peaceful and quite surrounding of the place. I also felt calm immediately. When I arrived, Tim showed me some places. The first day, I was able to rest the whole day, take a walk and take time to arrive. Then I got involved in some tasks like cutting wood, install some isolation in one new house, sow out seeds and help with the painting in one room. There is so much for me to learn like cooking properly and healthy, knowing what herbs and plants I can put in a smoothie or a salad and how they affect our healthiness and wellbeing. I continue learning with watching the videos of the Vegetarium YouTube site and listening to Barbara and Filip or others. What I really enjoyed was the morning routine we set up. It includes Yoga, stretching, singing, workout and meditation. For me, it was the first time I did Yoga, and I really enjoyed it. On one Sunday, I had the opportunity to dance together paneurhythmic dance by Peter Dunov which was a nice experience. All in all this first week already got me so many new impressions and things to learn, I cannot count them. Also I’m really thankful for all of this and all the nice and helpful people I met so far. Especially Filip told me so many new and interesting things, it opened up a new world for me. It’s definitely a completely different lifestyle compared to what I’m used to.
