Looking Back in Gratitude
Looking back at my time here in Vegetarium, I feel that my heart is full of gratitude. These four months passed incredibly fast as no day was the same as the other. But that’s what made it so special; all the unexpected magical moments that excited me over and over again. I will take so many wonderful memories with me and despite being hundreds of kilometres away, my mind will wander back to this place here…Remembering the hot and sunny summer days, where we spent so much time outside. Remembering the nights around the fire under the wide and open sky, the laughs and the tears we shared, the excitement when someone baked fresh bread and remembering the cozy mornings when it was still dark outside but inside, we had a warm, crackling fire …
I constantly learned new things about others and myself, about nature and our environment, about the animals and of course about life itself. I experienced more than ever what it means to live with nature. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable and a bit challenging but it always is real and authentic and that is what matters.
All the inspiring people I got to meet changed my life in various ways and I am deeply grateful for every conversation, for every opportunity to learn more.
What I won’t forget is the warm feeling of being surrounded by wonderful people and sharing unforgettable moments together. Thank you <3
