Goodbye Party

Today, one of the volunteers left, a girl named May, whom I had become friends with when she arrived a few months ago at the Vegetarium. For her last day, we decided to have a jam session and karaoke. Everyone gathered, Filip, Barbara, Joanna, even our neighbor Kiril joined and brought an amazing homemade bread.

We played music, sang, and had a lot of fun. Everyone picked a song to sing, but we sang them all together. Later, when the neighbor left and Filip and Barbara went to their rooms to sleep, Joanna, May, and Tim came into my room, because I had the stove on and it was warm. We sang Joanna’s beautiful songs while she played the guitar.

At the end of the day, we started playing the worst performers from Bulgaria and France. It was an unforgettable evening, and May herself, leaving that day, made it even more unforgettable. We went through so much together, and she will always remain in my heart as a very close friend.
