Fascinating Discoveries in Nature: Encounters in the ESC Project
As part of my ESC project, I have the opportunity to experience nature up close through intensive contact. On our grounds and in the surrounding area, I have made remarkable discoveries that make my time here unforgettable.
One particularly impressive encounter I had was with a European wolf spider. One night, it crossed my path, and I was fascinated by the sight of this spider carrying up to 100 tiny babies on its back. It’s amazing how many of these small wonders surround us.
I was also lucky enough to discover a turtle leisurely wandering through our area. This encounter reminded me of the diversity of life around us and how many different animals we often take for granted.
Another striking experience was the hornet’s nest located above my window. The deep buzzing of the hornets is unmistakable and accompanies me both day and night. These large insects are often misunderstood, yet their fascinating behavior and role in the ecosystem are extremely interesting. Initially, I had great respect for these impressive creatures, but I have since gotten used to them.
These small experiences highlight the beauty of nature and the variety of animals we are in direct contact with. They serve as a constant reminder to be mindful and appreciate the little wonders of nature. Every day brings new surprises and teaches us to respect and admire life in all its forms.
