Bees

Here in Trinoga, we have bees. There are six hives for them (one is empty), each with a queen. In a family there are three types of bees:

• Queen
• Workers
• Drones

Every one of them has a unique duty. The queen is the one who produces the next generation of bees. In every hive, there is only one Queen. The workers are also females, but they cannot produce more bees. They have a sting and their work is to protect the hive and also produce the honey. The last group is the Drones, they are not doing too much, and their only job is to mate with the Queen. After they finish their “duty” they die.

We usually feed them every 2 or 3 days. For the process, we have a costume also for protection. We are opening the top of every hive and giving them fake honey juice with movement as slow as possible. Better to be always behind the hive, because the workers will attack if they feel you are a threat to the hive.
