The Benefits of Permaculture and the Resulting Biodiversity

Permaculture is a concept aimed at creating sustainable and self-regulating agricultural systems that mimic natural ecosystems. It not only focuses on food production but also promotes biodiversity and fosters a harmonious coexistence of plants, animals, and microorganisms.

In our large garden, we also pay attention to ensuring that local insects, reptiles, and small mammals can thrive. By creating natural areas and hiding spots under stones, we not only promote biodiversity but also actively contribute to the ecological balance.

Although I am still in the early stages of understanding permaculture and have much to learn, I am fascinated by the idea of designing a garden that serves not only us but also nature. The diversity of plants and animals we can observe in our garden impressively demonstrates how important biodiversity is and the positive effects it has on the entire ecosystem.

Permaculture teaches us that every decision in the garden has far-reaching consequences. This is an intriguing challenge that I would like to explore further. By respecting and promoting the natural habitat, we can not only grow healthy food but also create a refuge for many living beings.
