ESC Training in Sofia
W16 – ESC training in Sofia
This week there was a training in Sofia, organized by the Bulgarian National Agency for European Solidarity Corps. The training was about good practices with the ESC projects, how to develop them and how to avoid common challenges the projects come across. It was a two-day program: the first day together with all the participants and the second day divided into volunteers and project coordinators.
The training was first and foremost a great opportunity to hear about other ESC projects in Bulgaria, different practices, and to network with other ESC people. I really enjoyed the networking part and made lots of new contacts and friends.
On the second day, when we were among ESC volunteers, we discussed more about our experiences and the ups and downs we have had. I think it was a good moment to reflect on the 4 months I have been here and the things I have learnt. All the volunteers were very active in participating and had very different experiences from their projects. I found it useful to have this space to share information.
Visiting Sofia is always fun, but this time, after lots of socializing and networking, it felt a bit hectic and full of people. I was happy to come back to the mountains and back to Vegetarium.
Next week I will have my days off, so there will be travel stories ahead!
